Luxury Italian cars, Polo and Swing music made for an amazing event at Desert Palm Per Aquum! As guests arrived and walked the Maserati Blue Carpet, The Swing Revue got the party started with some lively tunes and welcomed guests on their arrival! More great photos of the event can be found here!

"Imagine stepping through a set of doors, shutting out one world and immersing into a decadent enchanting space" On March 3, we did exactly that! Hosted by Alex Mir and DNA PR and Events, The Swing Revue performed at Noir at The Kempinski Hotel, Mall of the Emirates at one of the best new lounge and cocktail bars in Dubai. The guests arrived on the 'Black' carpet, dressed in 1920's decadence and partied the night away with jazz and swing music amid the Art Deco stylings of NOIR. Romance never goes out of fashion, and it doesn't get any better than Seafood on Valentines Day at the amazing CATCH Dubai restaurant! The Swing Revue provided jazz and swing tunes to set the mood at this beautiful venue! Evoking the spirit of bygone eras, The Swing Revue crashed through a set of swing classics from Cab Calloway to Duke Ellington. Doo Wops and Boogie-Woogies rang out from the gorgeous harmonies of the The Desert Roses vocal trio, and so it was only a matter of time before everyone at The Fridge was on their feet jumping, jiving and doing the twist, encouraged by the ever energetic Lindy Hop Dubai dancers. What a super start to 2016! We had the pleasure of performing at not 1, not 2, but 3 gigs across Bahrain on January 7, 8 and 9! Boho Baha hosted The Swing Revue on a fun filled weekend, performing a public show to a huge crowd at The Nest, followed by a gig the following night at the absolutely jam packed Polo Gastro Pub, and finally performing for the Saturday brunch crowd at the beautiful Cafe Amsterdam! Thank you to Khalil and everyone who came to see us, it was an amazing weekend filled with food, dancing, jazz, swing and some of the best crowds we have ever played for! On Monday October 26, 2015, The Swing Revue packed their bags and travelled to Colombo in Sri Lanka to perform at the re-launch of the Galle Face Hotel, along with their good friends from The Swing Pack! It was a whirlwind trip filled with music, friends and riding around in rickshaws! The Swing Revue opened the night and performed for the Prime Minister and President of Sri Lanka, as well as the Hotel owner. Fireworks went off to form the backdrop of our perfromance before The Swing Pack took the stage to perform Frank Sinatra classics. The Swing Revue then returned for 1 final sets where guests filled the dance floor that happened to be a giant chess board! |
